EHS FIRST is an Alcan initiative that has proven itself over the years. While Alcan is the guiding force behind this innovative and effective management system, the company also called upon some of the finest outside training, IT and engineering talent to design and build the indispensable tools in the EHS FIRST toolkit. Together with Alcan, several of the companies involved saw an opportunity to share the wealth of Alcan’s EHS management knowledge by taking EHS FIRST know-how and tools to the marketplace. Thus came about Alcan’s fruitful partnerships with IBM and SNC-Lavalin.
